Moffat is a town in Dumfriesshire with a population of about 2,500 and nestles in the beautiful hills of the Southern Uplands in South West Scotland. It lies two miles from Junction 15 of the M74, 40 miles north of Carlisle, and is within about 50 miles of both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is an excellent base for exploring further into Dumfries and Galloway, the Solway coast and the Scottish Borders.

Moffat became renowned as a spa town in Victorian times and remains a place to enjoy a feeling of well-being.
